The service was professional, fast and friendly

Biodiversity business/ Malaysian Wildlife enabled us to embark on a week’s long volunteering with Orang-Utan conservation in Northern Sumatra. The experience was surreal and we could really feel that our efforts weren’t just to raise revenue, but actually to contribute and make a difference. We created lifelong friendships and made unforgettable memories with our short time at Batu Kapal and if that project is anything to go off, all the other project must be just as meaningful. The service was professional, fast and friendly and the staff helped us prepare for our volunteering to the last detail, even though we only booked on a week before our start date. We honestly wish we did longer. One thing to add is how ethical the project was, it was run by passionate local people, who never obstructed, disrupted or negatively affected the orang-utans and other wildlife, which was vital in our great experience as we’ve heard of other stories of unethical practices, but first-hand, we can say that this was clearly at the forefront of the organisations beliefs and ethics. We can’t wait to either return or volunteer again, 10/10.
