BEAR REHAB VOLUNTEER IN BORNEO

 VOLUNTEERING

Get involved in Bear volunteering on the island of Borneo. You will help to care for the world’s smallest bear.  Rewilding the endangered Borneo Sun Bear at the only rehab centre dedicated solely to this adorable bear species.

INTERNSHIPS

The internship for this project is Wildlife Communication. You will be working on Social Media campaigns and Content Creation for the Sun Bear Centre. So you will gain digital skills, as well as learn about Bear Rehabilitation. The minimum stay is 3 months.

MATANG WILDLIFE CENTRE, SARAWAK, BORNEO

The popular Matang Wildlife Centre also cares for rescued sun bears. It is located in the state of Sarawak on Borneo, not far from the state capital Kuching. Besides Bears, there is a lot of other wildlife at the centre: Orangutan, deer, birds, civet and bear cats and many other species.

JAVA WILDLIFE RESCUE, YOGJAKARTA, INDONESIA

There are rescued Bears at the Java Wildlife Rescue Centre, near Yogjakarta, Indonesia. This centre has about 150 animals including orangutan, gibbons, birds, deer, crocodiles, snakes and other species. Volunteers assist the animal keepers in day-to-day care.
