ORANGUTAN RESCUE IN BORNEO

 VOLUNTEERING

Become a volunteer at the award-winning orangutan project at Matang Wildlife Rescue Centre in Sarawak on Borneo Island. The centre is set against the backdrop of the magnificent Kubah National Park, but this rainforest and surrounding areas are constantly under threat.

INTERNSHIPS

The internship for this project is Wildlife Communication. You will be caring for rescued animals and also help with fundraising activities to improve the quality of life and well being of the rescued animals. The minimum stay is 3 months.

Primate rehabilitation internship

GIBBON REHAB VOLUNTEER, MALAYSIA

As a Gibbon Rehab Volunteer, you will assist the primate keepers and the project staff with food preparation, feeding and enrichment. You will also do daily cleaning of the enclosures. Moreover, there is scope to do animal observation studies.

JAVA WILDLIFE RESCUE, YOGJAKARTA, INDONESIA

There are rescued Orangutans at the Java Wildlife Rescue Centre, near Yogjakarta, Indonesia. This centre has about 150 animals including sun bears, gibbons, birds, deer, crocodiles, snakes and other species. Volunteers assist the animal keepers in day-to-day care.
