Based in Kudat, Sabah, the Kudat Turtle Conservation Society (KTCS) is a non-profit organisation that strives to create a safe haven for the sea turtle population in the area. This is done through their collaborative work with other organisations such as Sabah Parks, WWF-Malaysia, Universiti Malaysia Sabah and Universiti Malaya, as well as local communities to protect and conserve the sea turtles.

KTCS also concentrates on public awareness and education, which they believe is one of the key pillars in environmental change. Beach clean-ups, environmental awareness talks at schools and villages, as well as establishing eco-tourism activities on sea turtle conservation are just some of the ways they achieve this.
